Vol. 4: Feb 2002
Back from the dead. WeenRadio suffered a huge melt down in November resulting in about 2 weeks of down time. Most of WeenRadio is back, however, we lost about 20% of the files. They exist out in the world, so its not a huge loss. More of a pain in the ass.
It's a new year and we can expect a lot from Ween this year. The new Ween website has just been released. It features a slick new look using Flash to make it more interactive. Deaner promises to update all the content in the coming weeks, so be sure to check it out often.
In case you missed it, Ween released their first CD that was available solely through the Ween.com website, "Live from Toronto". The CD immediately sold out. The success of this venture means Ween will likely release more CDs exclusively on their website this year. Although nothing is set in stone, Ween has mentioned that they wish to release a CD from each stage in the the Ween evolution.
WeenRadio's chat server had its one year anniversary on January 19th. We celebrated by idling and not chatting as usual. I highly recommend you stop by. If anything you will be introduced to GoatRadio. Here you can listen to all kinds of crap. Mostly non-Ween music, but an occasional rare Ween nugget.

Ween is not on Tour officially yet, however, there is a special show February 7th at the Conduit, in Trenton, NJ. Unfortunately, It has already sold out since the place is pretty small. Chris Harford will be opening. It should prove to be quite the treat when it gets back here to WeenRadio.

I want to thank everyone who sent me emails about broadcasting the GWS show. Most of the emails were very positive. This only proves that WeenRadio is a great way to get special Ween out to the fans. The only negative emails have to do with sound quality of the stream. So, to show some balls here, We will rebroadcast the show Feb 21st at 11:30 EST. I will attempt to have a both a low quality and a broadband sized stream. This show is killer and deserves to be heard the best it can be.

MP3 Featured Downloads:
This month we continue the series of high quality MP3s from the Buffalo 2001 show. This show was professionally recorded for broadcast on radio. The mix was so good that Ween wants to share it with you.

Other News:
Sound of Urchin has released their first full length album on RCA records. You Are The Best features a track produced by Dean Ween. If you have not heard Sound of Urchin, jump on over to their official website and download some mp3s. For those of you familiar with Jimmy Wilson Group, Jimmy Wilson himself is in Sound of Urchin, aka Reverend B-ill. Many of you know B-ill from his great Fire on the Mountain cover he sings for Ween. As awesome as that is, it's nothing compared to the rock he has pent up inside. Check out an Urchin show when they come to your town.
This was not a paid advertisement. However, Tomato, you can send donations to WeenRadio at your earliest convenience.

Final Words:
Thanks to all who have donated to WeenRadio. We have raised over $500 bucks to date. All donations go towards the operations of WeenRadio (Like the new hard drive we had to get after the melt down). You can make a donation anytime. WeenRadio has over 20 GB of ween mp3s - over 4000 tracks. We will unveil a new WeenRadio hopefully in March. We have lots of plans for the site that will ultimately make it the greatest website on the planet.
